This is a stand-alone beach in Kerala’s northern district Kasaragod. This beach attracts visitors and natives alike as it is an ideal spot for spending time with family and friends. The sounds of waves hitting the rocks, people sitting on the rocks with fishing rods or nets, the setting sun and picturesque surroundings add more to this under-explored seashore. One can spot hundreds of crabs moving in the sand. The rocks along the seashore are a perfect place to sit and enjoy the sunset and sunrise.
This beach is a photographer’s paradise. Photographers come from far away too. An evening walk by this sandy yet rocky beach is an instant mood booster. You can relish hot, spicy, crispy-fried mussels at the kiosks and food stands.Chembirika Beach borders the Arabian Sea. This is at the confluence of the Chembirika (Noombil) River and Arabian Sea. There is a beautiful tunnel which is the oldest and largest in Kerala, around half a kilometre away. Noombil River is considered to be the smallest river in Kerala.
